Trixie Matatabi Chewing Sticks 10 gr
Trixie's matatabi sticks are 100% natural, have a game-stimulating scent and support dental care. It offers distraction which is useful in certain situations such as during a trip, relocation, family expansion or admission to boarding or at the vet. Matatabi sticks are widely used on cats that show aggressiveness, are not potty trained, scratch furniture, meow a lot, lick themselves a lot or are frustrated.

Properties per ingredient:
The Matatabi tree is related to the Kiwi tree and grows in Asia, especially in China and Japan. The dried twigs of this tree have a very special effect on cats. It contains a substance that cats like, that relaxes them and sometimes even hallucinates to a mild degree.
Matatabi contains Actinicin and matatabi lactone. These are alkaloids with a slight chloroform or alcohol-like effect that affect nerve stimulation in the brain in Felidae.
It is often seen that cats that are naturally relaxed and relaxed have less interest in the sticks than cats that are under tension.

How to use the Matatabi sticks
You can give Matatabi as a toy. Cats play with the stick, some chew it or bite it to pieces. Many cats will roll and rub in places where the stick or remnants of it have been.
If the bark is removed from the stick, the effect is even greater.

Side effects: There are no harmful side effects. Some cats can react very special to the sticks. For example, there were owners who reported that their cat seemed 'ecstatic' with pleasure and some cats started to drool (slightly). This is innocent.

Dosage:
Do not give more than two to three times a week, otherwise habituation will occur and the sticks will become less interesting. Remove the stick as soon as the cat has finished playing.

Remark:
In combination with medication, consult your vet first. If problems occur, stop giving and consult your vet
